Important matter concerning the comfort and well-being of our students.

**Dear Parents,**

Assalamalikum,

I am writing to address an important matter concerning the comfort and well-being of my students.

As you know, FFPS prides itself on being the only school in the valley with air-conditioned classrooms on nominal fee structure of just Rs. 650 on average, ensuring a comfortable learning environment for our students. Despite the nominal fee structure of just Rs. 650 on average, i strive to provide the best facilities possible.

However, during the recent heat wave, our students have experienced discomfort due to the insufficient operation of our air conditioning units. This is primarily due to a lack of fuel to run our generators, as we have requested a modest contribution of Rs. 150 per month from parents to cover these fuel charges for the four hottest months (June, July, August, and September). Unfortunately, a limited number of parents have raised objections, making it challenging to maintain the necessary environment for effective learning.

We understand that these objections may stem from a lack of exposure or understanding of the situation. However, it is essential for the well-being of all our students that we ensure the classrooms remain adequately air-conditioned, especially during extreme weather conditions.

Starting next year (2025), we will be implementing a mandatory charge of Rs. 150 per month for the specified months to cover fuel costs for running the generators. We believe this is a fair and necessary measure to maintain the standard of comfort our students deserve. Parents who do not wish to comply with this policy have the option to apply for a DC  in April 2025.

FFPS has always charged fees that are essential to the operation of the school and has never sought to exploit parents in the name of religion or facilities. Our goal is to provide a conducive learning environment for all students, and we cannot sacrifice this for the objections of a few.
